Dr. DeWitt is a licensed and board certified psychologist who completed her doctoral degree at the University of Washington in 1979. She is trained in psychological assessment, psychotherapy, and the design and evaluation of vocational and psychological programs. She also taught psychology in high school, community college, agency, and university settings prior to becoming a full-time private practice psychologist.

She has 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist and 30 years experience as a vocational issues specialist.

Board Certification through the American Board of Professional Psychology provides peer and public recognition of demonstrated competence in one of its fourteen affiliated specialty areas. Dr. DeWitt is recognized by ABPP in the specialty of Counseling Psychology (#4753).

Board Certified in Forensic Vocational Evaluation

Dr. DeWitt is acredited by the American Board of Vocational Experts (#142358). ABVE is a professional credentialing body. It's Diplomates and Fellows have academic preparation in several disciplines (rehabilitation, psychology, economics, and various aligned disciplines), and in assessment, counseling, and consulting.

Dr. DeWitt is a long-standing member of both the American Psychological Association and the Washington State Psychological Association, and she is recognized as a Washington State Labor & Industries psychologist and Washington State DSHS Division of Rehabilitation psychologist. Dr. DeWitt is on the National Register as a Health Care Provider in Psychology (#34538).

Community Service

Dr. DeWitt has been an active volunteer in the local Red Cross, volunteering to provide crisis support at the Oso landslide and other incidents, and a volunteer with the Eastside affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).
